Custom software
We design and build the software that gets opened every morning: orders, stock, production tracking, staff, customer and supplier portals. Cut to fit the business that runs it, whether that is three people or three hundred.
The problem
Off-the-shelf management software comes with ninety features, you use twelve, and the three you actually need are missing. That is where the parallel spreadsheets, the double data entry and the numbers nobody trusts come from. At some point those shortcuts cost more than the tool you decided not to buy.
Examples
What it looks like once it is handed over.
Not one project: below are six kinds of work that fall under this service, drawn one by one and shown two at a time. If yours resembles one of them, the starting point already exists.
Back office
The screen the company is actually run from
Open orders, production progress and stock on one screen, updated while people work. Every figure is clickable and leads to the row that produced it.
- Figures in real time
- Roles and permissions
- Accounting exports
Deals and clients
Deals, from the enquiry to the signature
Every enquiry enters a column and moves to the right. Who owns it, where it has got to and what it is worth read at a glance, and none of them sit still without somebody noticing.
- Quotes in one click
- Automatic chasers
- History per client
Client portal
The private area for clients and suppliers
Documents, progress and deadlines, consultable without ringing the office. Each account sees only its own rows, and every sign-in is on the record.
- Separate logins
- Downloadable documents
- Email notifications
Field app
The application for people who work away from a desk
Job sheets, readings and signatures captured on a phone, including where there is no signal. When the line comes back it reconciles on its own, so nobody retypes in the evening what they already did that morning.
- Works offline
- Signed on site
- Barcode scanning
Integrations
The back office talking to everything else
Accounting, the online shop, the couriers and the spreadsheets all stay where they are and start exchanging data on their own. Nobody exports a CSV in the evening to import it again in the morning.
- Automatic exchanges
- A log of every handover
- Retries on failure
Ordering portal
The ordering portal for agents and resellers
The catalogue at the right price for each account, orders placed by the customer rather than by whoever answers the phone, and delivery states you can look up instead of ring up about.
- Pricing per reseller
- Orders without phone calls
- Delivery states
A drawing of the interface. The real installations sit behind a login, and that is where they stay.
What we build
Custom business systems
Records, quotes, orders, stock, production, staff, invoicing, reporting. We build the modules you use and leave the rest out.
SaaS platforms
If software is your product: architecture that holds many customers on one installation, subscriptions, self-service activation for new users, recurring billing.
Customer and supplier portals
Dedicated access with personalised price lists, order history, documents and quick reordering. The things that go through phone calls and attachments today.
Migration from existing systems
We recover and clean up data from the old system, from spreadsheets and from historical archives. The switchover is planned so the business does not stop.
Reporting and dashboards
Live indicators instead of a monthly summary assembled by hand, with a different view per role.
What we deliver
The project starts from an analysis document with scope, priorities and estimate, which stays the reference point for the whole build. From there we deliver an application you open in a browser and can use on a tablet, with users, roles and permissions already mapped onto who is actually responsible for what.
You reach launch with a separate test environment, training for the people who will use the tool, and technical documentation. The source code is yours.
What is included
What comes with the work, and is not billed separately.
Software does not end on the day it is handed over. These are the terms we work under on every project, written down before signing rather than treated as an extra to quote for six months later.
12 months of support included
On every project we deliver, at no extra cost.
12 months of support included
Every project we deliver comes with twelve months of support in the price: defect fixes, security updates and the small adjustments that only show up once people are using it. It is not a separate retainer to sign.
GDPR, in writing
A data processing agreement under art. 28 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the list of sub-processors, privacy notices and consent capture. If the project touches special category data, the impact assessment happens before any code is written.
Encrypted, and hosted in Europe
Traffic always over TLS, data and backups encrypted at rest, credentials in a secrets store and never in the code. Infrastructure sits in European regions unless you ask otherwise and we record it.
Least access, and it is logged
Roles, permissions and a second factor on anything that touches your systems. Every access is named and recorded, and when the project closes our credentials are revoked: it is a line on the handover checklist.
Backups somebody has actually restored
Daily copies, a retention period stated in the contract, and restore drills on a separate environment. A backup nobody has ever read back is not a backup; it is a hope.
The code and the data stay yours
Source, credentials, infrastructure and data are your property from day one, with the documentation to pick them up. No technical or contractual lock if you decide to go elsewhere.
