Solutions

From the analysis to software running inside the company.

In practice a project crosses three or four of these: it starts with a management system, it turns out it has to talk to accounting, and then somebody has to keep the whole thing standing for years.

Ways of working

Three ways to take us on.

Not every job has the same shape. What changes is how much can be written down before starting, and everything else follows from that.

Three ways to take us on.
ModelWhen it fitsHow it is billedWhat it commits you to
01Fixed-scope projectThe scope can be written down first: you know what it has to do and we know what to build.A figure agreed in advance against that scope, paid against milestones. The signed scope document. Changes are quoted separately and approved before they are built.
02Monthly retainerThe software is in production and has to stay up, current and supported.A monthly fee with a stated allowance of hours, and a statement of where they went.A minimum term and a notice period, both written into the contract before it is signed.
03By the dayYou need someone alongside your own team, or the scope will certainly change and pretending otherwise costs more.A day rate, billed against the days actually worked.Nothing beyond the days already agreed. You stop when you need to.

In all three the code and the data are yours, and we hand them over if you decide to go elsewhere.
